Rancho Grande in Monticello

Food is great, but you dont get your money worth. Small portions.

Being new in town, we’ve tried this place 3 times hoping the food will be better since it is close. Unfortunately, the food is blah. The worst part: every time we go it seems they way over charge, it never adds up how it should. CHECK YOUR BILL! Never eating here again. We will take the time to go to Tallahassee where we can find affordable authentic, delicious tacos.

Mouthwatering Mexican food in a little restaurant. I got the tacos and it was one of my favorite meals while visiting Monticello. The service was a little slow and they charge for chip refills too which was unusual to me.

Food was great, service was good, the only thing I did not like was not getting a "check\bill" at the end of my meal, instead you pay at the counter once you are done, which is fine, but I prefer to see my bill before paying for it.

God Awful! Food cold, and tasteless, unfortunately it's one of very few restaurants in our small town. A complete waste of money! Go to Winn Dixie and buy a frozen Mexican dinner instead!

It's ok I've had much better hot sauce isn't hot plates to me are child size for the price if the step up their plates I'm sure they'd have more business

Best Mexican restaurant in North FL. First time eating here. We came based on the previous reviews and they were spot on! Only complaint is the bowls for the salsa should be bigger!

Decent food. Not the best prices. Never heard if a Mexican restaurant that didn't have two for one margharittas. Service is fast and friendly. Ask for Freddy...they are getting ready to expand to a larger location just across the street. Presently the restaurant is a little small. Get there early for the best choice of seating. Windows are limited. It smells authentic the moment you walk in. Cheers cctally

Great Mexican food,fast and good service great meal all at a fair price

Food was excellent, just like Thomasville location! Differences, though... This place is definitely more of a 'hole-in-the-wall'. Service was pretty slow and spotty at best. Servers barely spoke English (which I suppose adds some charm).We got a plain and a peach Margarita. The drinks were so sweet, it was hard to tell if there's any alcohol in them. We would've ordered something different, but the servers acted like they could barely understand us...Even with some Spanish thrown in for clarification.Go for the food, not the service or drinks.

The decor was awful and dated. The place was not clean. The food was terrible. The guac tasted like the fake kind you buy in the grocery store. If I could give it 0 stars I would.

I must say I've never felt so uncomfortable going into a restaurant. After putting a contract on a house and wanting to celebrate with the family, we decided on Rancho. Immediately we were looked up and down, just being stared at like we had a disease. Everyone but us was a priority. There was only one other family in there eating so it's not like they were busy. We were spoken to with an attitude. They didn't want to put tables together so my family could all eat together so we decided to leave. Incredibly rude and disrespectful service. I hate to pull the race-card but I think because my daughter is special needs and that we are a Caucasian family, that had something to do with it, I dont know maybe it was not their day. The family that was in there eating was Hispanic and was top priority apparently.

Been coming here for years and love them!!! Their refried beans are amazing. Only had them one time where they did not taste the same but the food is always wonderful. All ingredients are fresh and homemade “with love”. I can tell they enjoy making the food. I cannot wait to see the new spot right next to their current location open up. Go in with a group and have never had a single issue there. Most nights they are super packed (reason for the expansion) which proves how amazing they are. After leaving town I missed their food. My son decided while there a few weeks back that their refried beans would be his first food when he stuck his hand in the beans and then put it in his mouth. His eyes lit up.

They have been amazing since the day they opened. Freddy has been there for years, and he makes the place so welcoming! He's very personable and just all around great guy. I pass up Mexican restaurants in Tallahassee all the time, and come here. They have the best salsa as well yum

Was in here on Tuesday which was Dollar Taco night. Also had $1 small bottles of Corona Extra. Food was good.

Wow! The place looks like it was flown in from Mexico and dropped in the middle of a super cool town. The food was amazing! Their salsa was amazing, service excellent, margaritas-excellent! An amazing value-price vs quality and quantity. A couple of miles off of Rt 10, wished we lived closer.

The food here is sooo good! Flavorful! I definitely will return, but it is small yet friendly. However, I heard that they are opening a bigger location across the street. FIVE STARS!!!Update: I absolutely love their food, but they have shady business practices. First of all, you are not allowed to see the bill with the prices of each item that you purchase. I bought four kids meals (one was an extra meal) at the price of $3.50, but I added white cheese sauce to three. (How much was three tablespoonfuls of cheese anyhow...?) We had three waters and one sweet tea. There was complimentary chips and salsa given. Two orders of the California burrito at $11.89 each. My bill was $58.07. Now you tell me how, for a group of five and a baby who didn't eat...!?! I don't mind expensive food, but food expenses that weren't what they were supposed to be, is different.I want to return, but I just can't...something's not right.

First time here but we really enjoyed ourselves. We were sat instantly and brought chips and salsa. Staff was very attentive and kept the drinks coming. All in all great experience
